Who we are
VORI Operations Group LLC (“VoriLabs,” “we,” “us”) operates vorilabs.com (the “Site”), an invitation-only research-supply storefront. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: info@vorilabs.com.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: your email address, and authentication data managed by our auth provider (Supabase). If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email) via OAuth. We do not receive your Google password.
- Invitation/referral data: the referral code used to register.
- Order & shipping data: recipient name, shipping address, email, phone (optional), and any order note you provide.
- SMS / phone opt-in data: if you provide a phone number and opt in to text messages, we retain that number and the opt-in record (method, timestamp) to send you the messages described in Section 4 below.
- Acknowledgement & compliance records: the research-use acknowledgements you affirm at checkout, including the version, text, timestamp, and the IP address and browser user-agent associated with that submission. We retain these as records of the transaction.
- Payment data: payment is arranged off-platform; we do not collect or store full payment-card numbers on the Site.
- Shipping/logistics data: to fulfill orders we share address and contact details with our shipping/label provider (EasyPost) and carriers, and we receive tracking updates.
- Communications: transactional emails are sent via our email provider (Resend); we keep records of order-related messages.
- Technical & usage data: standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamps); authentication/session cookies; and first-party usage analytics — the pages you view, links and buttons you click, site errors you encounter, and page-performance metrics — which we collect to operate, debug, secure, and improve the Site. We do not record the contents of fields you type (such as passwords or payment details), and this analytics is first-party only — we do not track you across other websites.
2. Cookies
We use strictly necessary authentication and session cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the gated Site, plus a first-party analytics cookie that lets us understand how the Site is used and diagnose errors. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not track your activity on other websites.
3. How we use information
To create and secure your account; verify invitation eligibility; process, fulfill, and ship orders; arrange payment; communicate about orders; maintain compliance and transaction records (including age and research-use acknowledgements); detect and prevent fraud or abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
4. SMS / text messaging
If you provide a phone number and opt in (at checkout or in account settings), we send transactional text messages related to your account, orders, and support — including verification codes, order confirmation and shipping/delivery updates, and replies to a support request you initiated. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Message frequency varies by account and order activity. Message and data rates may apply. Your phone number and SMS consent are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. SMS is delivered via our messaging provider (Sent).
5. How we share information
We share information only with: (a) service providers acting on our behalf — hosting (Vercel), database/auth (Supabase), shipping (EasyPost) and carriers, email (Resend), and SMS delivery (Sent); (b) a payment provider to arrange payment; (c) authorities or other parties where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention
We retain order, acknowledgement, and compliance records for as long as needed to operate the business and to meet legal, accounting, and regulatory recordkeeping obligations, after which we delete or de-identify them.
7. Security
We use industry-standard administrative and technical safeguards (including provider-managed encryption in transit and at rest and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
8. Your choices and rights
You may access or update your account information, request a copy or deletion of your personal information, or close your account by contacting info@vorilabs.com. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights (to access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain processing); we honor applicable rights and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
9. Age
The Site is intended for persons 21 and older and is not directed to minors; we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
10. Where we operate
We are based in the United States and currently serve U.S.-based researchers; if you access the Site from outside the U.S., you consent to processing in the U.S.
11. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
